I’m an Investor !

April 15, 2007 at 12:49 pm 11 comments

I just opened an account with KMEFIC for trading stocks in the American market.
I don’t think I would trade in Kuwait Stock Exchange any time soon , since the market is not efficient. The share’s price in KSE doesn’t necessarily reflect its worth , on the other hand in NASDAQ most of the share’s prices reflect their value which makes it an efficient market . Also in the US you get tons and tons of reliable information on your stocks and you can easily analyze them.

Their website is www.Alawsat.com , the minimum opening account balance is KD 5,000 . you can withdraw them the second day , in NASDAQ they charge 18$ per transaction . Not too cheap , not too expensive !

I don’t have much experience in stock trading , I tried some NASDAQ demo trading accounts ,but nothing serious.
My investment strategy at first will be:

  • Start trading with low amount , KD 1000 Max
  • Diversify info different shares in different sectors
  • Avoid non Shari’a compliance shares
  • Go on 3 months strategy

If I became rich , I would probably quit my job , move to Mauritius! buy me some slaves and a Ferrari and a Porsche

if everything is efficient you wouldnt make money cos then everything is fairly priced.

which is why i stay in the KSE 😀

do alot of reading first, buy some books by and on benjamin graham and warren buffet, forget technical analysis, and check out the “efficient market theorey” and he arguments against it.

    good luck dude 😀

uTmost .. NASDAQ is easier .. but in KSE if you have inside info you can make some money as well

skunk .. what i meant by efficient is that almost all information is available , and in general a stock price really represents its worth ..

Ra-1 .. mashallah mashallah .. share with us your investment strategy :p

TF .. once AYD said ” entaw 3abalkom ana ayee el jam3a adarres 3ashan el ma3ash ?! Laaa .. ana ayee bs 3ashan jeddam zojty agolhah ana raye7 el dawaam ” … ahbal
