Updated :Switching to my own Hosted Blog
July 20, 2007
Update :
this is what my error is , when I transfer my old blog to the new one , the names of the people who made comments disappear
——————————————————-

I finally did it , I bought my own domain and host. I am not going to say my domain name yet , until everything is ready.
And I think when I switch to the new domain , I will not mention it here , except for the ones I already know and trust , Coz I think there is a security breach in my identity . and some people know who I really am. and I would like to feel safe and post whatever I want.
The problem i am facing is importing Financy’s blog content into the new blog ( which is wordpress ofcourse ) . Non eof the uploaded pictures in this blog are able to be transfered to the new blog , and All the comments on the posts have been transfered successfuly except for the names of the people who made the comment . it stays blank.
I so hate the php coding thingy .. I did manage and learned how to upload the themes and plugins by using an FTP client.. I need help from professional wordpressers , I really need some help and tips and what am I doing wrong.

What exactly do you need help with. I experimented with hosting my own WordPress blog once, right now I’m using wordpress.com hosting, but I have experience with hosting my own. So just tell me what you need help with. Email me at zacdavis20 [at] gmail [dot] com.

That could be for a number of reasons, do you know if you are using the same version of wordpress as this is using?
